Continental Co-Sponsors 2013 Hot Rod Power Tour

Continental Tire has signed a two-year agreement to become a co-sponsor, along with Chevrolet, of The Hot Rod Power Tour.

Officially titled "Chevrolet Performance Presents the Hot Rod Power Tour Driven by Continental Tire," the tour – now in its 19th consecutive year – will run June 1-7 and feature more than 4,700 performance vehicles rolling into seven cities in seven days.

At each stop, a performance marketplace featuring top aftermarket manufacturers accompanies thousands of hot rods, muscle cars, street machines, custom creations, and trucks on display.

The tour kicks off on June 1 in Arlington, Texas. From there, stops will include: Texarkana and Little Rock, Ark.; Memphis, Tenn.; Birmingham, Ala.; Chattanooga, Tenn.; and Charlotte, N.C.

“The Hot Rod Power Tour is on the bucket list of all performance car enthusiasts,” said Gregg Vandermark, Continental Tire event manager. “Continental is very happy that our brand is now associated with the fun and adventure that this legendary road trip represents.”
